Sovereign Nature Initiative (SNI) is an interactive community of visionaries - developers, scientists, artists, and investors - who join forces in the interest of funding efforts towards sustainability. SNI is neither an investment fund nor a charity. It funds projects that explore and develop the technologies necessary to enable Nature 2.0. They could include research, prototyping, or artistic explorations.
Working as a true decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO), there is no central governing body for SNI. All members have the right to submit proposals and vote on proposals submitted by others. The voting structure and active participation incentivises groundbreaking projects to receive funding.
What is Nature 2.0?
Nature 2.0 describes systems in which natural resources govern themselves with the help of technologies like blockchain, smart contracts and artificial intelligence. Blockchain makes it possible to create decentralised systems that are based on smart contracts. Artificial intelligence can enable non-human entities to become agents.
These ownerless systems can be designed to act in the interest of sustaining and re-generating natural systems, to benefit the earth and to benefit humanity. For example, they could be programmed to contribute their profits to universal basic income.
In short:
How can we transition from a mentality of scarcity — a zero-sum game of "I win, you lose" — to one of abundance — a positive sum game, where "everybody wins" ? Nature 2.0 combines and extends AI * blockchain into a symbiosis of biology and machine, for a future of abundance.

Nature, self-governing with the help of emerging technologies, is a heady subject. Try to explain blockchain to your mum. And then try to explain how it might help nature govern itself through a DAO. It's not easy.
In order to make it understandable, we worked with NOA, another SNI shareholder, who were instrumental in writing the narrative. We created all branding and visual storytelling around it.
